We awake, both so excited about our cruise! What a wonderful evening we had. This is a beautiful city - put Canada on your ' bucket lists' - It's a must.
We have booked a shuttle to the ship for 11am. We have a leisurely breakfast and get packed. We meet a really nice couple on the shuttle. People are so friendly. The bus arrives, our adventure begins!! All goes smoothly. We are quite early and we check in - we are stood just behind the couple on the bus. We make our way through to the waiting area, guess what we are sitting opposite the same couple! They had just been talking about us. They wondered if we would do the Zip Wires with them on Friday! You should have seen Clive's face - mine aswell! They are good fun. We hope to catch up on board.
We board really quickly, seems nice ship. We get a snack and wait for our cabins to be ready. We familiarise our selves with the ship whilst we wait. Cabins are soon announced and off we go. Cabins is ok. We are in an inside one. It's hard to know if its night or day. We don't mind, we only have to sleep there. We get changed and off for more exploring and muster station check. We decide to try the contempory dining room. I have surf and turf. The food is a little disappointing. We may try the buffet next time. We go to the theatre for the show. It was really great entertainment -some acts from Las Vegas. We turn in after the show, Clive is very tired.
Great start to the cruise!

Day 52. A fantastic day in Vancouver .
We have a busy day today. We have a 4hour bus tour around Vancouver this morning. Also another trip later this afternoon/ evening - Clive's surprise!
Have a great breakfast and we are collected to go to the pickup point. This is a tour Clive had booked. He has planned the whole trip - it must have taken ages. I don't want to know what trips we have. Each day will be a surprise for me.
There are 16 of us on the bus. We have a great and informative guide/ driver, Danny. We go to Stanley Park. A fantastic place. We see the Totem Poles- I will put a couple photos for you to see. They are amazing. It was the White Man that called them Totem Poles, they are really story poles. We then make our way to Granville Island. A fantastic waterfront market and Artisan area. Most of us could have spent a day there. Great food hall. All local trades people - fabulous home made food.
We then travel on and make our way to the view point tower. We go up in glass bubble lifts, it was brilliant. You have a 360 view over the city.
We make our way back to the hotel for a much deserved rest. Clive tells me to be ready for 6.30pm. He also says I should get dressed up! Off we go. We have a taxi to the water front - guess its to a restaurant - no, we go on a Sunset Dinner Harbour Cruise. It was on a paddle steamer boat- I loved it. What a lovely evening. We sailed around the harbour and out to catch the sunset. We were lucky it was a beautiful evening. We had musical entertainment and a fab meal. It was such a friendly group. Everyone taking pictures of each other on the ship. We leave around 9.30.
It was a fantastic day . I have fallen in love with Vancouver! I must come back!

Day 51. Off to Vancouver!
Early start today. Taxi picked up 6.40 am. Clive had the bags out on the catwalk at 6.20 am. He is worse than me for time keeping! We are lucky, all goes to plan. We put my bags in the hold - there is a Delta area at the Airport, and a desk outside to drop off your bags. We were the only ones there, so it was soon done. Off for some breakfast and wait for flight. All on time, off we go. First flight to Atlanta. Change planes - about an hours wait. Next flight to Minneapolis on time. Two hours wait. Next flight to Vancouver - delayed! Ended up only being 20 mins late landing, so not too bad. Got a taxi to hotel and arrived 8.40 pm ( their time - three hours behind Forida)
I seem to end up adopting a young man from Brazil - Pablo. He was sat next to me in the airport lounge and then next to me on the plane. After we had been flying for a while, I could hear him crying and he was sniffing. Not sure what to? Eventually he seemed so upset, I got out some tissues and just passed them to him. He was greatful and said he was going to Vancouver for six months to language school to improve his English. Once we got chatting. - he was still at college - he seemed a lot happier. He showed me his paperwork with a picture of the house where he was staying for a month. He also new about the family he was staying with. He had only ever been away from his family for 15 days before. And as I had guessed, he had left his girlfriend behind!
Clive had slept all through this episode. Probably as well. Not really a 'man thing' to deal with. When we left the plane he shook my hand and thanked me. I told him his English was really very good and he was going to be fine. My good deed for the day!
We were lucky the restaurant was still serving a light menu when we arrived. We ate and were ready for some sleep.
Long day, but Vancouver looks like its going to be great!

Day 50. Last day in Florida!
We get up and decide to have a last swim ( and walk) before we finish packing. We have no food in, so I suggest breakfast at IHOP. It was good!
I have arranged to FaceTime Sophie. It was lovely to see her and the children. Cleo is growing so fast. Ted looks and sounds such a grown up boy. Felix just can't stop laughing when he sees Clive - it's so funny!
It turns out to be a long day. We are finally packed and ready for our early morning start! I can't wait!

Day 49! Two more days left in Dania Beach.
We ( Clive ) has all the printing to do today. We have so many different confirmations to print. Flights, cruise, hotel, insurance and all the Jamaica trips! Everyone seems to have a ream of paper work - mostly unnecessary it would seem. I have had to buy a folder to put it all in. Also they have become my domain - please don't let me misplace anything!
We seem to have spent the day making phone calls, printing copies of every thing and me doing laundry and get the place ready to leave. It's 6pm - where has the day gone. We decide to go and get something to eat and watch Breaking Bad. We missed the last one. We will miss the final couple of episode's but Clive has this catch-up channel, so he will be able to watch them on return.
I start to fall asleep
