Day 37. My first face time!

I have arranged to do FaceTime with Sophie and family - my first attempt. I get up and think I had better make an effort with myself, as this screen doesn't seem very flattering!  We link up at around 10am all goes well.  Very simple and straight forward.  It was lovely to see both Sophie and her family, plus Leah and her family had just arrived. Everyone looked so good after their holiday's. The boys all look so grown up - Charlie, almost a young man. Ted has his first loose tooth!  - another mile stone. Cleo, so beautiful and smiling away!  I must FaceTime Ben and his family.  The are at football today though.  Clive and I were laughing so much at Felix.  He almost burst out laughing when he saw Clive,  it was so funny.  Clive was really pleased to meet them for the first time.  He thought they were all great.  He thought Adrian was a very warm person - although he told Adrian some stories about me!

We decide to go for a Jamaican breakfast near Miami.  We pass the Miami Harley Davidson Dealership.  They were very busy.  It made me think of Tina and Dave.  I know Dave has been there!
We have a good breakfast, and we meet a really friendly couple having breakfast on the next table.  We have some good fun with them.  I am the only white person in there again. It's obviously very good food as its so busy.

We then go to The Mall in Ft.Lauderdale!  I book an appointment at a hairdressers for Tuesday.  I plan for Clive to drop me and have a day there on my own - watch out bank account!  We decide to go to the movies.  It's the new movie about The White House  Butler,  with Oprah and other great actors.  It was so good - if you have a chance, watch it.  I have never been to a cinema with such luxurious seats! Thank goodness it was such a good movie, or I would have been asleep!

Great day!

  1. It was so lovely to see you and Clive too. We all agreed that you look really well, and that Clive looks very kind and lots of fun! Hope that he's feeling better today.
Had a great time in Bath with the 'cousins', Tilly settled in well too and was a bit of a guard dog for Cleo! It was strange, she sniffed her and then lay down next to her and growled when Oscar went to touch her! She loved having all the children fuss over her and Ted and Felix took her for a walk.
All boys were very sad when we had to come home, but we'll try and see each other one weekend soon.
I can't believe the kids go back to school next week :( With work and holiday club it feels like it's gone so quickly, and x factor and strictly start soon, so before we know it it'll be Christmas!!
Take care, see you both soon.

    Leah xx

  2. Thanks for the kind comments. You all looked so lovely.
Clive and I have been laughing and talking about you all. He is so impressed with Oscar and Charlie. I have been telling him about Oscar playing Green Ball tennis! He thinks he looks a fun boy. I have also told him what a talented cricketer - especially bowler- he is. He can't believe he is only nIne and is so competent at so many sports. He is sure he will get trials for County cricket aswell. He also loves the fact that Oscar loves music. - his great passion! I told Oscar about Clive's Woof box in his car. Oscar would love it!
Glad your weekend was a success. Ben has sent me some lovely photos of Cleo. I am going to FaceTime them soon.
Meeting up with Clive's sister this evening. I have spoken to her, she seems lovely.
    Catch up soon. X
